Summer Wines for 2020
Strawberries, cherries and angels kiss in spring – my summer wine is really made from all these things!
– Nancy Sinatra
Our summer wine list for a luxury couples escape in our mountain cabins is here! We’ve gone out to our favourite boutique wineries and have made new additions to our wine range with a focus on the blushing and the whites.
Hold my glass! Fluctuations of temperature in our mountain cabins are a thing of the past now with solar and …. wine fridges!! Perfectly chilled whites and reds at the right temperature even in summer are just waiting for your arrival at your luxury couples retreat in the Yarra Valley – just brilliant!
Without any further fanfare…
Maddens Rise 2018 Pink Fizz
OMG! It’s back! We sold out of this brilliant pink bubbles quickly and have been waiting all year to get this one back into our Larder. This little blush number is the arrival wine.
Medhurst 2018 Rosé
Sun, fresh air and a blushing Rosé could they go any better together? Medhurst Rosé has everything you expect from a proper Rosé. Crisp with citrus, white jasmine, strawberry and raspberry, a refreshingly dry number best enjoyed on the balcony.
Payten & Jones 2018 Chardonnay
As cheeky as ever the Paten & Jones have released their deconstructed old school Aussie Chard. Malolactic ferment and oaky. Typical straw colour. And… Seriously – lots of flavour.
Dominique Portet 2018 Sauvignon Blanc
Dominique Portet are giving our Kiwi Cousins a run in their game with this Sauvignon Blanc. They manage to coax more citrus and stone fruit characters with a creamy texture and a savoury finish.
And remember, not only are these delicious, all wines offered at Kangaroo Ridge Retreat are at cellar door prices. We hate inflated minibar prices as much as you do.
It’s days like these that make us happy – just kicking back on the Kangaroo Ridge Retreat balcony, doing as we do.
‘Til we welcome you on the Ridge for your stunning and luxury couples retreat in the Yarra Valley, safe and happy travels!
